Oort is a multidisciplinary design studio dedicated to research, design and code.

Operating on and offline from Amsterdam by Eurico Sá Fernandes, the studio develops projects across various media in close dialogue with a diverse range of clients and collaborators. Our clients range from those in the cultural field to commercial companies. Fundamental to our practice is the continuous development of autonomous projects.

MALWARE is a collection of garments, intersecting between body armor and lingerie. Each design is equipped with a USB containing a virus of great destructive potential that can annihilate the contents of a hard drive. The materials unite to form an exoskeleton that encodes the body in a protective mass, empowering technological activism.

Graphic Identity and website for the Dirty Art Department’s (Sandberg Instituut) continuous performance at a squatted palace and cultural center in East Milan. The exponential growth of the project and its controlled chaos environment inspired the association with microbial life cycles, that is referenced to in the identity.

Publication commissioned by Sjoerd ter Borg celebrating the state of an abandoned soap factory in Toronto, Canada, before its refurbishment. The design of the leaflet intends to exalt the mysticism of the content — a juxtaposition of a fiction text and a series of photographs, inspired by a visit to the building.

Poster and set-up for the exhibition Infantile Access by Rachel-rose O’Leary hosted by Liquid Gallery – an exhibition project presenting artists’ showcases accessible trough a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN). By making use of a WLAN, the exhibition space exceeds real estate, air and subsurface rights limitations.
